The Crusader Era - Robin Hood the Classic Hero
The infamous heroic outlaw of the 13th century robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. This character is still legendary today as the tale of Robin Hood has hit the small screen and huge screen many times over the years. The oldest film dating back over 100 years a silent film of 1909 entitled "Robin Hood and His Merry Men". Douglas Fairbanks did another silent Robin Hood movie in 1922. Then again in 1938 the "The Adventures of Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn as Robin and Olivia de Havilland as his Maid Marion made its debut.
